A Few Years Back While Visiting His Family Doctor My Father Was Informed of a Blood Clot in His Leg Likely Caused Poor Nutrition and Prolonged Sitting(He being a Truck Driver at the Time) They Quickly Prescribed Him Blood Thinners. Seeing How Sick the Blood Thinners Made Him and How They Have Permanently Changed the Way My Fathers Body Functions and Operates Daily in a Negative Way I Needed To Do Something.

This Caused Immense Disappointment Within Me and Fueled a Burning Desire to Make a Difference in Both His and My Own Health Moving Forward.

Like Many Fathers are, Mine is my Hero, in My Eyes the Man is the Definition of Selfless Sacrifice, We Didn’t Have Much Growing Up but What We Had, He Worked Very Hard For. Cutting Meat as a line Butcher, Construction, Farming, Mechanic and Truck Driver to Mention a Few.

During Tough Times Being From Michigan He’d Occasionally Pick Up Beer/Pop Cans Off the Side of the Road, In Exchange for the 10 cent Returns, So He Could at Least Cover His Child Support for Us My Sister and I.

As Years Passed by I Witnessed First Hand How His Consistent Hard Labor Work Had Been Wreaking Havoc On His Body, So Naturally Helping Him Became An Unshakeable Priority.

Service Men and Women Put Their Lives On The Line Daily and Daily They Traverse and Witness Traumas that Will Haunt Them For Years To Come, We Believe By Getting Them Outdoors Doing Things They Either Already or Used to Love Doing Will Keep Their Minds Sharp and Moving In a Positive Direction. Allowing Them To Continue Leading Meaningful Lives During and or After Their Service Has Ended and Hopefully Prevent and Or Decrease the Suicide Rates of This Humble Community (Military, Veterans, Firefighters, Paramedics and Police)

Serving Overseas Myself Between 2004-2012, as a United States Marine Infantryman I Was Struck by Multiple Improvised Explosive Devises (IEDs) on a Multitude of Occasions.

However, I Was Fortunate Enough to Return Home in One Physical Piece. There Was Something Very Different About Me and The Other Men I Served With Returning Home from War. The Man Who Returned Is Nearly Unrecognizable of the Boy that had Left.

I Struggled then and Still Do Now with Many of My Injuries, Huge Disconnect and My Inability to Communicate Effectively with Others, Debilitating Migraines, Vivid Life like Nightmares, Significant Hearing Loss in both Ears, Worn Out Joints, Busted Back, Stress Induced Seizures, Crippling Depression, Vertigo, Substance Abuse and PTSD just to Mention a Few.

This Made Transitioning Back to Civilian Life Very Challenging. Especially when Every Time I’d Try to Get Help My “Health Care Professional” Would Prescribe Me Yet Another Ineffective Medication that Only Seemed to Make Matters Much Worse at Times.

After Many Failed Relationships, Changes of Address and Even Getting in Trouble with the Law, I Finally Got the Eye Opening Experience and Realization that Something Needed to Change and That Something Was ME.

So I Turned Back to What Always Grounded Me in My Life. “Fitness“, Challenging and Testing My Body Daily and Fueling It with Healthy Nutritious Foods Did More Positively in Less Time than Meds Alone Did Over Many Years.
